THE INDIGO OAK FUND
Fostering Creative Expression

The Arts

Our foundation is committed to supporting the arts in a variety of forms and expressions and for every member of our community. We support programming for both youth and adults, amateurs and professionals. Past grants have supported funding for classes and camps, community theaters, internship programs, and one-time events in the fields of visual arts, music, writing, graphic design, and drama.

Featured 2022 Recipient: Art Students League of Denver

by Hannah Ronan-Daniell, Development Manager

The Art Students League of Denver (ASLD) provides an inclusive art community where professional artists guide individuals of all abilities to reach their highest potential. ASLD knows that making art brings people joy, and we aim to spread that joy far and wide across the metro area by offering classes, exhibits, events, free community engagement workshops, and more.

Gifts from The Indigo Oak Fund in 2022 allowed ASLD to impact the following areas:

Adult Scholarships

  • TIOF contributed a portion of a total of $49,140 toward 47 adult student scholarships for ASLD classes.

Youth Programs

  • Expanded our weekly Teen Studio Night to include both wheel throwing and hand-building ceramics, fiber arts, and printmaking.
  • Revitalized in-person Summer Camp.

Diversity in the Arts Internship

  • Celebrated our largest cohort ever with 11 interns.
  • Strengthened the program’s infrastructure by shifting administrative duties to dedicated ASLD Staff.
